Canadian Railroads > EMD's at Fort Nelson

Good Day All,

Got into Fort Nelson, Sunday afternoon to witness CN 5472 ( SD60) and WC 3027 (GP40 in CN paint), switching various fuel tank cars.

Nice to hear 645's and 710's for a change over the Cummins that's been echoing in my head since Calgary.

That would seem to fit what I heard 6 months ago:
Saturday: Fort St John to Fort Nelson
Sunday: switch Fort Nelson
Monday: assemble the southbound train
Tuesday: Fort Nelson to Fort St. John

I wonder how long until CN abandons this line or spins it off to a shortline (if anyone would want to take it over)?

The agreement CN made with BC to lease BC Rail may not allow them to spin off the lines.
