Northbound F59PH #559 leads a six-car consist across the double-track main at CN Doncaster enroute to Stouffville (pronounced STOW-ville).

Interesting shot. Didn't understand why the train was stopping until it began to bang across the crossing, and the bell was ringing on the locomotive. Then, when you panned to the front, the crossing came into the picture. I like the technique.

Doncaster diamond is the CN Bala Sub. train is heading for Richmond Hill.

While I certainly appreciate the input and not trying to be argumentative, I'm not sure who's right here, Jason. I'm not a railway employee so my info could indeed be incorrect.

But according to the Canadian Trackside Guide, Doncaster is the junction of the York and Bala subdivisions, and this train will eventually arrive in Stouffville.

Check your Canadian Trackside Guide again. You'll find that Stouffville is on the Uxbridge Sub.
