uses some track completed as the British Columbia Electric Railway (BCER) in 1910, but now owned and operated by the Southern Railway of British Columbia (SRY). BCER was an electric railway known for its extensive Street Car and Interurban passenger service. 1 & 2. Though no longer electrified, the B.C. steep grades, and parallel power transmission lines still in use today. 5. Neighbours to the SRY Fraser Valley Sub have never seen trains this long in their backyard, and are on hand to wave at the unmanned rear DPU locomotive. And yes it is a nice line to go for a ride-along... been of a few myself, when they were legally allowed. |
