3 from the Squamish area...
Author: Train611

Hello fellow TO'ers and all the best for a good weekend...

Being in Squamish for a couple of days allowed me time to visit the yard. A friend mentioned there would be a BNSF unit on the RMR Whistler train.

1. RMR 8014 and 8017 layover prior to their return to the Whistler - Jasper schedule departing Whistler on Monday mornings. Train gets serviced and washed.

2. RMR 8015 North has a "borrowed" unit for its normal North Vancouver to Whistler Run. No doubt some servicing was required on the normally assigned unit.

3. Back in the Whistler train; RMR guests enjoy the views from the open car Henry Pickering. This car is leased from the West Coast Railway Association, whose museum is located in Squamish.

The yard will also see some heavy duty freight units on a daily basis.

Thanks for looking...

Nice catch on the BNSF unit! You caught its only run so far. The RMR has been running with just one unit while 8018 is being serviced by VIA, but the BNSF unit is on stand-by in North Van yard if needed.

Hey LF...
Away from SQ for a while...a friend advised this combination was on its way.

Happen to have the camera.

Makes for an interesting file photo!

Take care out there.
