Canadian Railroads > This Week's 546 Shots

On the way to work, I'm often able to photograph CN train 546, the daily turn on the south end of the Squamish Sub. Here are three shots from the past week:
1. SD40-2W 5325 leads a short one past Mile 9 in West Vancouver.
2. Near Mile 6.5, the Squamish Sub. looks like a weed-clogged spur track. This photo and the next have GTW 5934 on the point.
3. Here's 546 scaring the children in Ambleside, almost to its destination of North Vancouver.

5934 looks like x- GT, right?

Ex-UP, then GTW. Here's a shot of it before it got all prettied up in CN colors.

They started off as MP units (MP didn't order Dynamic Brakes), became UP units when the MP was absorbed by the Yellow Borg of Omaha.

2nd photo shows CN needs to do some ballast cleaning.

I don't think the local NIMBY's would like at all!! Doug
