Canadian Railroads >Date: 09/14/14 08:21 Author: ghCBNS The former Newfoundland Railway/Canadian National Station in St. John’s is now the Railway and Coastal Museum.
At the rear of the station, two former passenger cars were placed under the old station canopy Date: 09/14/14 08:23 Author: ghCBNS ....and on the inside the cars were opened-up to depict the accommodations offered on a narrow gauge train back in the 1940s.

JBWX Date: 09/14/14 08:33 Author: ghCBNS Here’s a model of the 100 year old “Kyle”. It’s anchored today in Harbour Grace (hopefully to be restored someday). In the background is a DC-3 in the town’s Heritage Park where there’s also a statue of Amelia Earhart who set out from Harbour Grace on her transatlantic flight in 1932 (not in the DC-3.....but in a Lockheed Vega)
Date: 09/14/14 14:17 Author: mopacrr What is the former CN yard at St. John's being used for? When I rode the mixed trains in May, 83 the yard was full container flats and some box cars. I never did get to see the entire yard, but from what I could see; it looked to be a good sized.
