From earlier today a westbound grain train with CP 8653 and UP 5553 stopped at the west end of the Banff siding to wait for an eastbound. Ten minutes later eastbound 9371 passed by.

Some pictures of the recently renovated interior of the station. At this time there is a visitor info desk and I believe the screened area in the second picture is the Rocky Mountain Railtours desk.

The Caboose Restaurant; is it still there? It was on the Calgary end of the Station.

Nice images!

One of my favourite spots!

The caboose restaurant is not there.

The station make-over is great RMR does a lot of business there now.

And you did not have to fight the snow of a week ago.

I was in Banff later this afternoon and caught a 401 passing the station ~18:30 with 8911 up front and 8571 on the rear.
