Canadian Railroads > Early morning on the x-BCR Squamish Sub

CN ran their extra as needed train (CN 568) on saturday morning from Lillooet to Squamish, BC with a 2 x 3 DPU set-up.

1) I caught up with them shortly after 9am with dynamics exhausting the heat just north of McGuire

2) With CN not maintaing the ROW to what BCR did the vegetation has really made a lot of the shots tighter, seen here at Daisy Lake about to enter the S-Curve.

3) Entering the canyon the sun still has not come up over the mountain as they will soon be in the shadows.

CN 568 Entering the yard.... If anyone is wondering why CN 8901 is so clean she was the unit on Display at Family days this year at Thornton Yard seen in the third photo.... What a difference a clean/dirty unit makes!

Anyone else notice the odd paint job to the Conductor side of the 2306? Does anyone know if she was in a sideswipe at some point in its life?

CN 2431 would lead CN 571 North about 3 hours later.
