Canadian Railroads > Five minutes in Kamloops...6 imagesDate: 10/17/14 20:55 Five minutes in Kamloops...6 images Author: Train611 Hello to fellow TO'ers,
During a recent visit to Kamloops I was on a pedestrian bridge at the east end of the Kamloops yard. Within a space of five minutes we captured two trains. 1. CP8960 West is heading into Kamloops with a loaded grain train, as the signal at 1272S shows "clear" for an eastbound 2. 8960 has dimmed the ditch lights for the oncoming eastbound. 3. CP8858 East is powering up as the crew takes the "100 Series" train off to Revelstoke and east. 3 more images to follow. 611 Date: 10/17/14 21:04 Re: Five minutes in Kamloops...6 images Author: Train611 Kamloops continued...
4. 8858 and 8723 head towards the "Clear" Signal in a previous image. 5. Passing at yard speeds, not sure of the car count, but over 100 for the grain train, and close to a hundred units on the stack train. 6. DPU's passing: 8556 on the eastbound and 9830 on the westbound... Kamloops is a busy crew change point. The westbound will get a new crew and the eastbound crew has just started their trip. Not often we get two passing trains with pawer passing around the same general track area. Have a good weekend, Thanks for looking. 611 Date: 10/18/14 05:58 Re: Five minutes in Kamloops...6 images Author: ns1000 Nice pics!!!
