Canadian Railroads > Morning Commute, 17 August 1976Date: 10/22/14 18:58 Morning Commute, 17 August 1976 Author: Ray_Murphy At that time, I took CP's Train #241, an all-RDC consist, from Westmount to Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue every day. It was no doubt running late on August 17th, because as it approached the Dorval station, CN's Train #61 to Toronto was just pulling into the CN station. Normally, I would see #61 as I walked to work in Ste-Anne.
In 1976, the CN turbos had been repainted from white to yellow in advance of the Via takeover, but they still carried the CN logo. Was that the consist that reguarly ran with 11 RDC units? Date: 10/23/14 09:43 Re: Morning Commute, 17 August 1976 Author: Ray_Murphy ghCBNS Wrote:

I think 6 units was the typical number when I rode it. This was essentially the first inbound train of the day returning to Vaudreuil for a second run. Ray |
