More of my B&W 1976 photos...

The way some politicians talk, you'd think unit tank trains of petroleum products were a new development. Here in Montreal, they've been happening for over 40 years, if not longer.

These photos were taken on July 23rd, 1976 at Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue.

The train is led by a CN GP-9/M-420 combination. It was likely an empty return move to the refineries in Montreal (no cards in the placard holders; uncompressed truck springs).
