A Sunday with CN's '40s
Author: loleta

NO MLWs, sorry. Just CN SD40s of various kinds and conditions.
1. 5325 south, a Lynn Creek - Thornton Yard transfer, at Brunette.
2, 3. 5265, the Ewen job, on the trestlework at the south approach to the Lulu Island bridge, and then approaching the Westminster Highway crossing.

4. Yet another Lynn Creek - Thornton transfer, here at Spruce.
5. A Thornton - Lynn Creek transfer at Piper.
6. Finally, CN 5273 and a 6000-series remote control SD40 roll through a very empty yard in West Vancouver. That's Mt. Baker in the distance.

Great stuff Loleta. Glad to see the transfer and local power is still photogenic.

Nice LF!

Tonnage is not very much these days coming down from the North into North Vancouver... Sure looks odd with just the power in the old BCR Yard!

And yes this would be the Vancouver, BC area

Cheers,
C
