Even more tragic is that CP did more than one like that. At one point the St Luc hump set was a pair of them. Oh, the shame!

Interesting sub lettering under the number, "pulldown", probably to distinguish it from a "hump" locomotive which had slow speed controls and cab signals.

Big hump yards had distinct yard assignments such as "hump", "trimmer" and "pulldown" performing distinct tasks related to the hump yard.

Didn't one of these wind up at Crown Zellerbach in Ladysmith ... and then go to the Alberni Pacific in Port Alberni?

I believe CZ did their own thing to their own RS-3; maybe even before CP. Can anyone confirm this?

Ex. CP 8427, built March 1953, acquired by Crown Forest Products, 1986 already rebuilt.
