MLW Monday at Yoho British Columbia
Author: arwye

On June 20, 1972, MLW C630M 4501 grinds its way up the 2.2% grade past the small national park themed Yoho station. Assisting this morning are SD40 5532 and a 8600 series GP9 on this eastbound freight . Yoho is located between the Lower and Upper Spiral Tunnels on what is knows as the Field or Big Hill. Which was an easy two hour drive for Calgary based rail-fans or about 5 hours from Edmonton, depending on how fast the horses were running in that 69 Barracuda parked off to the left.

Craig: Thanks!

Yes, CP's maroon and grey was classic. Action Red never did anything for me.

Stay tuned…..plenty more to come.

Glad you are on here. What a fantastic nest egg of photos you must have.

One a week is not enough.

I've spent more than a few hours at this location back when I was younger, however in my day all we had to shoot was SD40-2's!

Yes Trevor, if we were to ever start a SD40-Saturday or Sunday I'd have enough for both our lifetimes:-:-
