Canadian Railroads > MLW Monday at Yoho British ColumbiaDate: 12/08/14 10:16 MLW Monday at Yoho British Columbia Author: arwye On June 20, 1972, MLW C630M 4501 grinds its way up the 2.2% grade past the small national park themed Yoho station. Assisting this morning are SD40 5532 and a 8600 series GP9 on this eastbound freight . Yoho is located between the Lower and Upper Spiral Tunnels on what is knows as the Field or Big Hill. Which was an easy two hour drive for Calgary based rail-fans or about 5 hours from Edmonton, depending on how fast the horses were running in that 69 Barracuda parked off to the left.

Yes, CP's maroon and grey was classic. Action Red never did anything for me. Stay tuned…..plenty more to come. spdaylight Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Great photo . . love the old Burgundy (maroon?) > and silver (grey?) paint scheme back then . . . > hope you have more to post from back then in the > future! > > Craig > http://mcmrailvideos.com/ Date: 12/08/14 12:47 Re: MLW Monday at Yoho British Columbia Author: rschonfelder Glad you are on here.
