2014 CPR Holiday Train
Author: eminence_grise

Today we headed out to chase the Holiday Train as it made it's way from Notch Hill to Kamloops.

First photo show the train leaving the storage track at Notch Hill on the Shuswap Sub., the train did a performance in Chase at 1445 where the second photo was taken.

The video was taken by Kylie as the train made it's way up the CN Okanagan Sub. for the Kamloops show. The video was taken with her new Canon 70D.

I like it better with a GE in front. Thanks for the coverage though. I was wondering why no one put up any photos of the train. I think you are the first this year.

Looks like it is a mild winter so far in Western Canada. I chatted today with family and there is no snow in Cowtown either. Maybe it is all in Edmonton. :)

The CP Holiday train had a coach "Dominion" for children to ride, this group riding from VLA Road in Chase to Kamloops.
Thompson Valley Charters supplied a Prevost coach to deliver the children to the train. The children brought a donation of food for the Kamloops Food Bank.
