The West Vancouver Yard Switcher
Author: loleta

Here are three photos of CN's West Van yard job, all taken at the west end of what used to be BC Rail's yard.
1. Shoving a string of copper concentrate cars across the Capilano River bridge.
2. Remote control SD40 6023 illuminates the rain drops.
3. Under the Lions Gate Bridge.

Before it became McLean Yard earlier this year, was it ever officially called "West Van"? I've seen CN references to "North Vancouver West" for the ex-BCR yard and "North Vancouver East" for Lynn Creek.

I have heard it referred more often as West Vancouver than North Vancouver West. Not certain of the "official" designation. I don't have a current timetable to how it is listed. BC Rail "North Vancouver" still suits me. Doug
