MLW Monday CPR FPA-2 1971
Author: kgmontreal

In the fall of 1971 an Extra East heads from Smiths Falls to Montreal on CPR's Winchester sub. The FPA-2, RS-23, RS-23 power combination is dragging a dead GP35 back to the St Luc diesel shop.

Great image. The lashup is fascinating. CP 4096 makes a perfect leader.

Surprisingly CP never installed nose mu on their A-units. If there was one in the lashup it had to lead or be the last running unit in the consist. If there were two, one had to lead and the other had to be the last unit in the consist.
