Canadian Railroads > Spring? What spring?

The first day of spring found increasingly large flurries falling in the Montreal area. Here are some of the trains I shot on this (somewhat) mild but wet day.

1-CN 720 had some nice GE variety, with a Dash8-40CM, Dash9-44CW and a Dash8-40C as power (CN 2440, BNSF 4869 & CN 2010) as it headed east through Dorval, on its way to east end Montreal.

2-CN 394 for Richmond, Qc and interchange with the St. Lawrence and Atlantic had CN 2102 and CN 2689 as it heads east through the Ville St-Pierre neighbourhood of Montreal.

3-CN 500 (a local switcher) was just behind 394 with a pair of GP9's (CN 7277 & CN 7246).

4-CN 327 had CN 5719 and CN 2606 as it headed west past the VIA Dorval Station at right and the AMT Dorval Station at left. At left is CP 112 heading towards the Lachine intermodal yard and stopped at right is a late VIA 62.

5-I caught up with CP 112 as it was stopped south of Fairway avenue in Lachine, awaiting clearance to enter the yard. It had CP 9803 (with mismatched numberboards) and CP 8740 mid-train.

6-The final shot shows CP 9803 over 46th avenue in Lachine, almost into Lachine Intermodal Yard.
