MLW Monday's at Field British Columbia
Author: arwye

There is still plenty of snow for the Yeti's to play with on those mountains behind Field, British Columbia in May 1970. Meanwhile, down at ground level the engineer of M-630M 4504-GP9 8521 poses for the photographer. Those old time engineers knew how to do that. Two year old 4504 got a lousy paint job from MLW. Has anybody actually ever seen a Yeti?

I like your photo.  Thanks for sharing.  I think there are three stock cars on that neighbouring track.  Would they have been in company service for ties or operating in its' original purpose?

There is supposed to be one hiding on every can or bottle of Kokanee Beer.  The more you drink the more you can find.RY

For the longest time I assumed MLW (TO loves its alphabet soup!) here meant something related to the Milwaukee Road.

I give up what does 'MLW' mean?

Essentially the Canadian branch of ALCO - basically the same locomotives only built in Montreal.
