Canadian Railroads > January 2, 1916 Grand Trunk Pacific Complaint

We purchased some CNR documentation at a local antique shop today and stuffed in one of the books was this letter from the Smithers Citizens Association dated January 2, 1916 and addressed to Grand Trunk Pacific Railway Superintendent A. Kilpatrick at Smithers B.C.

It seems the train was many hours late and passengers had no way of communication as to when the train would arrive. The letter states that a telephone would have made the incident much better.
