Just a note to mention that today is the day all of the patients at Montreal's Royal Victoria Hospital are being transferred to the new McGill University Health Centre which was constructed on the former site of the Canadian Pacific Railways Glen Yard and passenger car/locomotive service facility in Westmount, QC.

Where once there were steam locomotives, E8's and D&H PA's there is now a brand new superhospital for Montreal's English-speaking community.

The Royal Victoria in Montreal had a seated statue of Queen Victoria in front of it.  About this statue,  "This statue of Queen Victoria is the work of her daughter, Beatrice" and appeared in many parts of the British Empire.  Disrespectful subjects added to the inscription "The head is too small, and the crown doesn't fit, but bless her heart she was proud of it".

I wonder if the Montreal statue has been melted down or put in storage.  If not, I'm sure Victoria BC could use another one.

However, Montreal has refused to give the statue of Lord Nelson to either Halifax NS or the city of Nelson BC.

India donated a magnificent statue of King George V to Toronto, along with four huge lions from the Parliament buildings in New Delhi.

I think it was moved to the new hospital site.

 They should donate all old Hospital stuff to Nepal Quake people Hospital, I bet they use that stuff. Also This New Hospital is that Bigger than the old place??
