Canadian Railroads > A GO Transit coach in MontrealDate: 05/21/15 06:05 A GO Transit coach in Montreal Author: Mberry On Tuesday night the Pointe St-Charles switcher was bringing a cut of grain cars to be stored on track 29 in Turcot Yard (the only track left). Towards the end was a surprise, repainted GO Transit coach (2455). Presumably it will eventually go to Canadian Allied Diesel. The first shot shows it eastbound through Montreal West and the second shot shows it in Turcot Yard. The third shot shows a shorter than usual CN 309 heading west, with the GO coach barely visible at left. CN 309 has CN 2271 leading, the same unit that I shot on CN 326 the other day, still shiny from its use on the business train.

Date: 05/21/15 09:59 Re: A GO Transit coach in Montreal Author: moonliter I too was wondering why GO Transit was sending freshly painted cars east. I caught coach 2442 on the tail-end of an eastbound freight (sorry did not catch the train #) passing through Brockville, ON last Thursday May 14th. Notice that the doors have not been painted unlike the coach in MBerry's photo. A few minutes later westbound VIA train #55 rolled in with P42 903 and F40 6459 (nee-6403). This was the first time I caught 6459 in action. Happily, three days later, I did catch 6459 on the point of VIA train #47 passing under the Newtonville Road overpass in Clarington,ON.

Reminds of what used to happen when I drank too much .... thankfully, those days are over for me. I like the colours.
You must be thinking of your St. Patricks Day beer drinking sessions if they came out that colour. Rick Date: 05/22/15 02:18 Re: A GO Transit coach in Montreal Author: ghCBNS As Kermit would say.....”It’s not easy Bein’ Green”
But personally I like the scheme Date: 05/22/15 05:45 Re: A GO Transit coach in Montreal Author: joemvcnj Do they actually have to ship these cars hundreds of miles to paint them ?
