Canadian Railroads > More Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue...Date: 06/27/15 07:49 More Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue... Author: Ray_Murphy Following on from my post last week…
http://www.trainorders.com/discussion/read.php?15,3774095 At Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue (west end of Montreal Island), there is a long breakwater protruding into the Vaudreuil Bay section of the Lake of Two Mountains, separating the marina and locks from the portion of the Ottawa River that flows through the rapids there. The CN and CP rail bridges are adjacent to each other, and in the late afternoon, you get good light on the CP side (Picture #1). Views of action on the CN bridge are severely limited (Picture #2), so your best bet is to be content with what happens on CP (there used to be a bike path on the side of the highway bridge that faces the CN tracks, but it was relocated to the opposite side during a road reconstruction project a few years back). Picture #3 shows AMT commuter #21, with ALP-45DP 1353 doing the pushing. Picture #4, taken about one hour later, shows AMT #25, with locomotive 1368, passing a couple of guys fishing. Picture #5 shows AMT #29 with F59PHI 1325 as power, and Picture #6 shows the same trainset 50 minutes later operating as AMT #30. Finally, my reason for staying until sunset, CP's Expressway (#133), powered by 8749 (ES44AC) and 9615 (AC4400CW) zooms by (Pictures #7, #8, #9). Ray Edited 1 time(s).
