Canadian Railroads > Fort Erie areaDate: 07/01/15 11:45 Fort Erie area Author: MGA2300 I'm going to be in the Fort Erie Ontario area in a few weeks, can I expect much train activity in and out of Fort Erie Yard? Plus is there much action on the main line from Niagara Falls to Toronto?
Thanks in advance!! Date: 07/01/15 14:04 Re: Fort Erie area Author: kgmontreal CP runs stack trains to and from Chicago that cross the bridge at Fort Erie.

You can see 5 trains in 2 hours or nothing all day. Generally speaking there is 2-3 CP trains in the morning. Possibly a couple after lunch. One or two CN trains and between 1-3 p/m the Norfolk Southern transfer comes over the bridge. The CN mainline between Toronto and FT Erie has the following trains Between 8-10 am at St Catharines as an example there is CN #422,421,331, and Amtrak 97. Between 6-7 PM there is CN #330 and Amtrak # 98 There are locals but on no schedule. Also at St Catharines(Merriton) the Trillium shortline arrives usually about 12.30-1.30 to switch the warehouse area by the QEW. Hope this helps-send a private message if you need more info! Its a hit and miss kind of place-good luck. Mike Bannon St Catharines, ON Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 07/01/15 18:10 by algoma11.
