Tender capacity data for CNR 0-6-0 0-18-a

Good evening all, anyone knows what was the tender capacity on CN of those 0-6-0 for coal(tons)  and water(gallons)like the one at Conway Scenic Railway

Charls,

CNR O-18a  7470 carried 11 tons of coal and 5500 Imperial gallons (6600 US Gallons).

I think this link will help you out. http://www.cnrha.ca/node/430/  Go to your class of locomotive and hit drawing.  All the info is there, 9 tons of coal/5500 Imperial gallons of water but there is an added note the some engines in this class were equipped with tenders that held 11 tons of fuel.   Also I have the Railway & Locomotive Historical Society's roster of CN's steam locomotives which confirms this information.

Since you mentioned 7470 specifically I gave the numbers for that engine.  When the Conway Scenic got the engine they re-numbered it to 47.  Photos from that era, show the back of the tender was lettered 6600 gallons (US) and 11 tons  as was CN's practice.  When 47 was re-numbered/ re-painted back to 7470/CN style lettering the information on the rear of the tender was not included.
