Can anyone answer what types of Locomotives do CN typically run? Is there one more predominant then others?

The CN roster outlined in my 2014 edition of the Canadian Trackside Guide runs to 47 pages, comprising between 30 and 40 different models.

Next question?

10,000 foot train with 2 Dash 9s. Or if you're lucky, you'll get a SD70M-2 thrown in.

This book has value beyond just Canadian roads.  I don't even live in North America and I find anything I need to find out in there.  The reporting mark index alone has made it worthwhile for me.

You can purchase this book in the USA and not just in Canada.  I know Karen's Books carry it.
