White unit on a grey morning

On a grey Saturday morning this past weekend, the first inbound AMT commuter train of the day (AMT 50) is seen arriving at and then leaving Cedar Park station (in Pointe-Claire, Qc) with white AMT 1341 leading (an ex-GO Transit F59PH).

That's a very short distance between stations. I can't put my finger on why, but to me Montreal appears to follow an odd planning system: perhaps Arcade Fire's inspiration for their concept album The Suburbs?
