New update from Turcot West

There has been big progress at Turcot West.  The first slice of the "tunnel" has been lifted by the gantries and moved by the SPMT platforms (self-propelled modular transporter) away from the tracks.  The slice is 35 or so feet long and is now being lowered to the ground and disconnected from the gantries.  The removed slice was moved much farther than I expected.

Presumably this took place last night, any idea if that is correct?

Is there an overview of the project somewhere? Interesting how they're building the tunnel in two halves.

There's some confusion in the above post.  The "tunnel" at Turcot West is being demolished, not built.  See:
