Mike Root Madras, OR Date: 04/26/16 19:44 Re: Trestle fire on CN Sangudo sub Author: P That was a georgeous trestle. What a loss.
can anyone provide any insight into the current operations on this line? Is this a mainline, secondary line, or a branch? Could this mean the end of this line? Date: 04/27/16 04:44 Re: Trestle fire on CN Sangudo sub Author: tsokolan 100 odd mile branch line running north west out of Edmonton Alberta. Branch has 2 daily freights and serves a mill in Whitecourt, mill at Blueridge, sand company in Whitecourt, and a couple sulhur plants west of Whitecourt. (with the occasional unit train) THere is also a gravel pit near Silver Creek that can be quite active during the summer months. As far as I know the line is profitable, so expect the bridge to be quickly rebuilt. Note this is NOT the largest trestle on the line, but it was still an impressive structure....

What a shame. Rick Date: 04/27/16 13:07 Re: Trestle fire on CN Sangudo sub Author: greasemonkey What a terrible loss. I have been wondering if they will rebuild as it was, or fill the draw and place a short bridge over the water.
