Canadian Railroads > Another CN Bridge FireDate: 04/29/16 11:42 Another CN Bridge Fire Author: loleta This one at Seton, BC on the former BC Rail. There will be no trains through there today, and the RTC said it's "pretty serious."
That's all I know. - L.F. Date: 04/29/16 13:09 Re: Another CN Bridge Fire Author: hoggerdoug Wonder if there is a forest fire in the area or perhaps one of the local residents torched the bridge for some protest of sorts?? There are two bridges in the area of Seton Portage. Portage Creek #1 at Mile 138.1, Portage Creek #2 at mile 138.8 just south of the south switch Seton siding on the Squamish Sub on the former BC Rail, ( I hate that term "former"). If I recall both are wooden or wood "glulam" structures, not very long over the small creeks there. Good luck to the crews in the area and this could put a real damper to the early RMR trips. Doug
