60 minutes on the Shuswap Sub -1
Author: Train611

Hello...
A lucky hour for a train fan (photo guy)!
A little grey and cooler around Kamloops today.
Heard some train movements on the scanner and here we are...

1. 9756 west has 170 loaded potash cars in tow heading to a Vancouver port.

2. 8824 east is a 100 series stack train headed for Calgary and points east.

3, 8940 west has 152 coal cars heading for a Vancouver port (Maybe Roberts Bank)

Elapsed time 30 minutes...

Hello,
Thanks for posting these shots. Love them.
Three  Questions for you, What time in the day did you take these
and where about were you, East of Kamloops Yes??
Do they still take off the locos east of kamloops and
put them back on coal train when they return..

Cheers Brian in New Zealand..

Hi:
Photos taken around 10 - 11 am.
Location about 6 miles east of Kamloops yard.
As far as dropping units at Geddis...coal trains are not dropping them as trains are serviced etc at Golden. Some trains do drop units for east bounds to pick up.
Thanks for looking.
