Canadian Railroads > on this day in 2006, a road trip of sorts.Date: 05/26/16 06:56 on this day in 2006, a road trip of sorts. Author: hoggerdoug This is a long posting with 18 images to upload, please bare with me.
May 26, 2006, our routine on the Exeter Switcher was changed and we ended up at Kelly Lake to relieve a northbound freight crew. The details are hazy in my mind how we got to Kelly Lake, although I think we taxied from Exeter to Kelly Lake, got a unit from a southbound train and then proceeded north with the relieved train. How this started was between two CN Trainmasters covering the area not knowing what each other were doing with the trains and crews. It turned to be a real cluster day. Two extra crew used and we did not get our assigned work done at Exeter, in other words, no customer served. Oh well we had a nice change of pace and I managed a few photos. images 01 622 at Williams Lake, note the time was 05:58 02 613 03 S406 all power for the regular Williams Lake yard crews Date: 05/26/16 06:59 Re: on this day in 2006, a road trip of sorts. 14 & 15 taken at mile 211.7 which used to be called "Fill" evidently there is or was a wooden trestle years ago and it was "filled in". I have never located any images of the old bridge.
