Canadian Railroads > A Good Start to SummerDate: 06/20/16 19:50 A Good Start to Summer Author: cn6218 June in Nova Scotia has had less than spectacular weather so far, but things finally started looking up on the weekend, and then today, the longest day of the year.
Despite having more daylight than any other day of the year, I came close to being skunked today. I had to get to work before 120 or 407 made an appearance, and 121 was so late getting onto their train (first image, taken at 19:47) that I figured it would be dark by the time they finally got out of town. But as it turned out, 121 would be a short train of only 4600 feet leaving Rockigham, and it was already in one piece. By 20:13 they were rolling past Moirs Mill Pond on the way to Moncton. This train usually operates with a DPU, but even with a pickup of 24 loads of gypsum at Milford tonight, they likely only had the first two ES44ACs on line.
