Canadian Railroads > A day of remembrance, 10th anniversaryDate: 06/29/16 04:17 A day of remembrance, 10th anniversary Author: hoggerdoug June 29, 2006 we lost two friends and fellow workmates on the BC Rail Lillooet subdivision.
Conductor Tom Dodd, remembered for his easy going way, happy smile and mischievous grin. Conductor Don Faulkner, made a splendid pot of coffee on the road and a great story to go along with it. Locomotive Engineer survived this horrific event, recovered from his physical injuries, overcame the emotional trauma and eventually returned to work. God bless them all. There is a memorial cairn at the Lillooet station although I have never had the opportunity to visit the memorial. I remember reading news items where some employees complained that without DB, it was difficult to control trains on some of the hills. And one last question -- was this when EHH was in charge at CN?
