Down at the south end of Cranbrook's yard Extra East 8662 rolls into town as the power for an Extra West patiently waits for the incoming train to clear. Then H-Liner 8720 and its consist will back onto its train of Trail bound lead-zinc ore from Pine Point Mines. All of this taking place in August of 1973. Richard Yaremko

Any photos of the ore-cars? I'm guessing those are the yellow-ish cars. These are things we've heard about but some of us haven't seen them.
Is the Trail smelter still running?

The smelter at Trail is still active, but the ore shipments from Pine Point ended years ago.
