Canadian Railroads > New signals in St-HenriDate: 07/22/16 16:44 New signals in St-Henri Author: Mberry VIA 635 and then CN X321 are seen passing a set of old dwarf signals that will soon be replaced by the new signals that are currently turned away from the track on CN's Montreal sub in the St-Henri neighbourhood of Montreal this afternoon. CN X321 originates at Southwark yard on an as needed basis and has CN 8815 and IC 1000 for power (stolen from CN 527 as is the norm). VIA 635 goes to Ottawa with only one intermediate stop at Dorval.
The third shot shows CN X321 approaching an identical set of signals facing the other direction. These were installed about a year ago, replacing dwarf signals identical to those seen in the first two shots. Well, at least they are installed properly--vertically, that is--vs. tilting one or the other, like many in the U.S.
