MLW Monday
Author: Lerchy

FPA-4 6783 leads a pair of F9 b-units westbound through Dorval Station in the early 1970's.   This location at the east end of the platform was a popular railfan hangout in the day.  Just a bit more vegitation now as well as a third track.

Neat shot.  Our model rr club is in the white building in the left background.

It's a very impressive layout.

You're not kidding when you say "a bit more vegetation" - I was in this exact spot just yesterday afternoon and here's Via #67 pulling in to the platform area. The CP tracks (and the building you and Ken were remarking about) are completely obscured now (Picture #1).  Meanwhile, construction has re-started on the highway overpass into the Dorval Airport, so that area "up the hill" is no longer available for railfans, either (Picture #2).

Nice shot! And here's CN 327 by the same spot 2 weeks ago.
