Canadian Railroads > More Location and Caption Help Please

Today I came across 44 of Roger Puta's slides taken in Canada.  You have helped me with locations and other significant details in the past and I'd appreciate more help.

The one note I have from Roger, it simply says Fraser and Thompson Canyons in BC, November 1984.  How ever many days he was there, I have found almost no slides taken in the sun.

Kinda scary that the bridge bypass was complete in 1984.

I would agree with what this person says about #5; looks like Thompson east switch.

Thanks for the help.  As to #5, this photo looks like the same place.  Do you agree it's the Thompson east switch?

I hope you don't mind doing this. I have many more.

BTW, in this photo, what is the grey car between the 2nd and 3rd locomotive.  Radio control car for DPUs??

That last shot is at the east switch of Drynoch, the next siding east of Thompson. That is indeed a robot control car for the remotes further back in the train.

Photo 2 looks like Martel.

# 2 is about half way between Walhachin and McAbee.
#3 is west of Spence's Bridge but closer to the approach signal for Pitquah siding that was later renamed Morris. More correctly its between Seddall and Pitquah.

I disagree - it most certainly is not Martel.  This photo is closer to Ashcroft and eastbound.
