Where Was This Train?
Author: MartyBernard

Assistance in caption writing again please.  I have found 3 of Roger Puta's slides of the same train in BC.  The new, old and oldest paint schemes are interesting.

1. B02 CP 5832 5815 and 5558 Canada November 1984

2. B05 CP 5832 5815 and 5558 Canada November 1984

3. G20 CP 5832 5815 and 5558 Canada November 1984

Thanks,
Marty Bernard

1. East Of Spences Bridge

2. East Siding Switch Thompson

3. Well along the Thompson I would say east of Spences bridge again somewhere.

1. Train westbound between Toketic and Spences Bridge on CP Thompson Sub.

2. As above.

3. A little harder to pin down but I would say just east of Toketic where the river is a little narrower. East switch Toketic would be in the engineers view from here.

All three trains are westbound.

The paint schemes are the same, just at different stages of freshness and fading.

The two 58xx units are SD40-2 models, built in early 1974. The trailer is an SD40, built in 1967, and would have started life in the Tuscan red and grey scheme.
