Wood Chips and a Work Train, Part II
Author: loleta

1. Continuing this thread (http://www.trainorders.com/discussion/read.php?15,4127510), here's train 568 crossing the Fraser River on the outskirts of Lillooet, with the old bridge into town in the foreground.
2, 3. After meeting 568 at Glenfraser, the work train backs toward the work site at the grade slip near mile 168.

4. You can just make out the work site directly above the river.
5. Shortly before train 568 arrived in Lillooet train 570 departed and derailed, tearing up about 20 car lengths of track near Marne. To the rescue is train 571, consisting of CN 8921 and nothing else, running north through Brackendale.
6. Nearly home after 12 days and several thousand miles on the road (the photos begin here: http://www.trainorders.com/discussion/read.php?15,4104855), I decided to wait for one last photo, train 546 between Furry Creek and Porteau.

Awesome Loleta! I would've loved to have been out tearing up the BC backroads in the old Land Cruiser this summer, but I can do it vicariously through your posts. Hope you had a great trip, and thank you once again.
