CN Q198 at Carvel Alberta
Author: tsokolan

The morning of November 24 2016 dawned cool and frosty, with the sun finally making an appearance after many cloudy days. I had a bit of time to kill, so I headed west of Edmonton Alberta to Carvel, mile 31.8 on CN's Edson subdivision. Soon after my arrival, eastbound train Q198 came into view with a newer ET44AC on the point.

The drone again? It looks wide angle, but if you were on the overpass using wide angle, you'd get a lot more tangent, plus the property they finally built on, on the east side of Mink Lake. A great perspective and fabulous sky at one of my favourite locations.

You guessed correctly Fred, I had the drone out. You can't rellay shoot much from the overpass since the trees have grown in, not to mention all the truck traffic on Highway 770!

That came out well.  What model of drone do you use?

DJI Phantom 2 Vision Plus. I'm going to buy the New Phantom 4 Pro since it has a better quality camera then the older models.
