At least I think I took this in Manitoba. I was driving across Canada in 1973 when I  photographed this guy.

There is an airfield nearby, grain elevators near a landing strip were painted with red and white checkerboards.

​Note the mechanical reefer and two stock cars on the head end. If it was westbound, could have been train 965

Purina Feeds elevators had red and white checker boards on them too. It was part of their logo.
