Canadian Railroads > MLW Monday-RS3 at Lillooet BCDate: 02/20/17 12:40 MLW Monday-RS3 at Lillooet BC Author: arwye BCR 567 seemed so out of place on June 7 1980, surrounded by big 2nd generation MLW power at Lillooet. Basic duties as the yard switcher as well as running the daily "school bus" train between Lillooet and Seaton Portage kept her busy. Richard Yaremko

This was one of the "weekend" lease locomotives power short BCR was utilizing during that time. BCR would take these SD40's from CN at Prince George on Friday, basically use them for a run down to North Vancouver and back, returning them to CN-Prince George by late Sunday. I believe this arrangement predated the MLW C424 and C-630M's on longer term lease during the Spring and Summer of 1980. Spotted the PGE covered chip car but also the Lilloet Depot roof just beyond.
