Burlington John in Europe Vol 2
Author: burlingtonjohn

As I posted in this thread last week

http://www.trainorders.com/discussion/read.php?17,3467506

I'm going through some old slides from Italy, etc, that I shot when I was stationed in Italy courtesy of the US Navy in 1982-1984. Pretty sure this FS passenger motor was lensed in Naples sometime during that time frame.

Regards,
Burlington John

This loco, thanks to the partial number on the buffer beam, is from the FS 633 class, and specifically a 633.2 as evidenced by the single arm pantographs and MU; the MU feature was primarily for freight service in the north, such as the Turin-Modane line, and I'm guessing it's brand new heading north. The 633 was the first, beginning in 1979, of a large family of nearly identical classes 633, 632, and 652, all of which featured B-B-B monomotor trucks and chopper electrics.

Best regards, SZ
