European Railroad Discussion > City Nightline Cuts

Earlier there was a discussion of recent City Nightline cuts and the last train to Copenhagen. I'm looking at possibly using the Prague-Amsterdam service in February. Does anyone know if it is being retained. Their current web site is apparently only good through 2014 and the Denmark service still shows up so obviously it's not up to date. Thanks in advance for any info.

Hope someone will find you other info, but here is the CNL in Copenhagen. While it may be discontinued the electrics are going to refurbishing / are just being refurbished.

I've just ordered the Continentall Timetable Winter Edition which should have next years schedules, if you don't get to know before I'll see what it says.

Beginning with the timetable change in December the Prague - Amsterdam route will be cut back to Prague - Cologne/Duisburg. Don't let this alter your plans though -- you can easily connect in Cologne to continue your journey onward to Amsterdam!

This cut back apparently starts Dec 14th. Just use an ICE train Amsterdam to Cologne.

CNL departs Koln 22:28 arrives Praha 9:25.

The through ICE Amsterdam to Cologne departs 18:35 and arrives 21:12.

Looks like a good connection to me.

This contraption disliked by DB, but extensively used by diesel loving DSB, might offer you an interesting drive from Copenhagen to Germany! There is even one in DSB colors now...
