My post from yesterday, of the cog rack-operated Lyon metro, included a spectacular video of a train exiting a tunnel into the heavily inclined station. The video, unfortunately, had a miscarriage. So, I've reposted the video here, but if this doesn't work, I'll put the video on Youtube and steer clear of videos on Trainorders.

My adventure in Lyon, France's second-largest city, continues. Unfortunately, work and school (and annoying friends) has prevented me from doing any real railfanning, so no TO-worthy shots of TGVs yet. But, today I rode the Fourvière Funicular and brought back some photos (better than yesterday's) and a VOTD-worthy video (some people never learn).

I've decided that, since I want people to see my Lyon Metro video, I will post the metro video and nothing else right here, then the funicular photos in the form of a response. I hope you enjoy.

After looking around the Basilique de Fourvière (incredible mosaics) and contemplating the views across Lyon from the top of the Fourvière (a large hill), it was time to go back down the funicular to the medieval city.
