European Railroad Discussion > Maybe Easy...What Is It, Where Is It?Date: 05/12/15 04:34 Maybe Easy...What Is It, Where Is It? Author: McKey I'm just back from a trip somewhere, but where and what is this? This might be very easy to guess or not, I was looking for this vehicle for 3 years now, and finally found it!
Just give a guess and we'll find the "what" and its location! Edited 2 time(s). Last edit at 05/12/15 05:02 by McKey. Date: 05/12/15 05:58 Re: Maybe Easy...What Is It, Where Is It? Author: Steinzeit EP20 -- one of the earlier ones ?
SZ Date: 05/12/15 06:42 Re: Maybe Easy...What Is It, Where Is It? Author: McKey Great work Steinzeit, recognition right from this little picture! How did you know? (even if I left the primary clue intact in the pic...)
Here are a few pics to follow first. I'll write some more details slightly later. You may notice how long this Alstom-Transmasholding locomotive is. And the middle axle that it borrowed from Swiss designs of 1960s. Date: 05/12/15 08:34 Re: Maybe Easy...What Is It, Where Is It? Author: Steinzeit Well, I didn't think you had been to the Eastern Hemisphere, and there aren't many tri-bo's around with wheel mounted discs.
If that EP-20 design had appeared a few years later it might have been called a VP-20....... SZ Date: 05/12/15 10:31 Re: Maybe Easy...What Is It, Where Is It? Author: McKey ;)
Well, I was not exacxtly on the Eastern side...that is the other part of the question, so where was I see an electric loco? ;) I think Nick knows the views well too, we were nearby with Gerry and his son too... I guess by the pandrol clips that it's not actually in Russia, that's the yard where we saw the Kazakh Talgo strapped to flat cars.isn't it?

China that is considered Eastern Hemisphere in Europe must then be Western Hemisphere from there. :D

Everything else is Eastern.
