What is it? Where might this interesting vehicle be? Give a guess if you don't know!

Great guessing / knowledge, this is quite near, but not exactly on Swedish soil. So just go ahead and narrow options a little bit more...

Maybe you could look at the colors? (OK, the same colors are also used in Sweden)

Probably a diesel shunter;  the casting for the steps is not that common;  so --  a preserved DSB MH, probably the one in the museum......

Excellent recognition work Alexmarissa and Steinzeit!

This is indeed the DSB preserved class MH old diesel switcher. Hundreds roughly similar similar units existed once all around Nordic countries Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland. This unit is in a driving condition, but I don't know if its been used for tourist sightseeings or not. In Sweden this kind of switchers run tours at least on Inlandsbana in the North. Location here is "the" Danish Railway museum in Odense, just a small commuting trip from Copenhagen to neighboring island.

As unusual as it may seen, this MH unit was still in production work in 1999! It must have been severely underpowered by then with 46 tons weight and just 330 kW / 440 hp. 123 units were built for DSB, first three by Henschel in 1958 and then 120 by Frichs from 1961 to 1965. By the time DB took over Danish freight traffic all MHs were retired.
