European Railroad Discussion > EuroCity 39 -- Lausanne to MilanDate: 04/30/16 11:44 EuroCity 39 -- Lausanne to Milan Author: DocJohn After four days of scientitifc meetings in Lauanne, headed south to Italy ealier today on EuroCity 39. Not a particularly fast trip, but the scenery was good and interesting railroad equipment and structures along the way. Many of the signals in Italy looked like they were patterned after US bullseye signals. At Milan Central, the had official "red caps" to help with the luggage and tkae it from the train to the taxi stand.
