European Railroad Discussion > Around Hamburg, June 2016

I was in Hamburg last week, mainly to watch shipping in the city's great port. I took a few pictures of trains. They are nothing like the impressive set of Hamburg rail pictures recently posted onto the European discussion, but some that I took on 26 June show the U-Bahn network in the busy Landungsbrucken area on the Elbe River.

First is a U-Bahn U3 line train approching Baumwall Station, while pedestrians watch the Hamburg Half Marathon on the street below.  
Second is the same line viewed from the museum ship Cap San Diego.
